Counter Terrorism Policing launches ACT for Local Authorities at International Security Expo

Today, 30 September, Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) has launched ACT for Local Authorities.

Palestine Action proscribed

Palestine Action has been proscribed under Section 3 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
This makes it a criminal offence to be a member of this group or to invite or recklessly express support for them.

The legislation came into force at 0001hrs on Saturday 5 July 2025.

New National Barrier Asset Framework

Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ) is tendering for the provision of a storage, maintenance and deployment framework for the National Barrier Asset for an initial term of 36 months and a unilateral option of the CTPHQ/Authority to extend for a further period of 12 months up to a maximum of 48 months.

Martyn’s Law Update - Government publish legislation draft

On Tuesday 2nd May, the Home Office published a draft Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill. The new draft law will ensure that the UK will be better prepared for, and protected from, terrorist attacks.
