Guide Shelter Report principles
The threat picture for terrorism is complex and constantly evolving, with terrorists choosing to attack a broad range of locations. An attack can happen at any time and in any place.
Past incidents have shown us that decisive action can help save lives. To help everyone mitigate the harm from terrorism, and to support you in being prepared in case the worst happens, NaCTSO has developed Guide Shelter Report (GSR).
This is a set of dynamic response principles that can be used by staff in any business or organisation in the event of a terrorist attack.
Guide Shelter Report guidance
The GSR principles align to the roles and responsibilities your business or organisation has in other emergency incidents, such as fire or health and safety.
As with those types of incidents, the expectation is that your staff must take reasonable care to look after themselves and others.
This guidance will introduce you to the GSR principles, increase your understanding of their intended application, and provide you with information on how to embed GSR in your business or organisation.
