Businesses and organisations looking for CT-specific protective security and preparedness advice will be able to consult a register of qualified specialists thanks to an agreement between NaCTSO and the NPSA-sponsored Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES).

The new voluntary register of Counter Terrorism Security Specialists (working title) is anticipated to open for applications from Spring 2026.

Work is starting now on the detailed arrangements, policies and practicalities involved in creating the register. NaCTSO have chosen to work with RSES because of their experience operating in the world of protective security.

As plans develop, further information will be published on ProtectUK.

The Counter Terrorism Security Specialists Register is designed to help businesses and organisations find the right advice when developing their counter terrorism strategies.

Consultants and professional advisors with relevant experience and current knowledge will be able to apply to join the register, providing potential clients with confidence that they are suitably skilled to provide specialist counter terrorism protective security and organisational preparedness advice.
