The public will be better protected from terrorism under new laws requiring many public venues to improve preparedness against attacks and bring in measures to help keep people safe.
With our first year of funding now in place, the CPS (Competent Persons Scheme) Team is starting to pick up momentum, taking our first steps towards making the Scheme a reality!
New laws to make sure we are better prepared for, and protected from, terrorist attacks to be consulted on. This will ensure legislation is proportionate and deliverable for smaller businesses. Under the plans, premises will be asked to put in place procedures such as evacuation and lock-ins in an emergency.
